KVRaudio is a music-centred website with a very active set of forums. Lots of news gets posted there - both on the main news page and in the forums themselves. It's definitely worth a look if you're not already familiar with it.
In addition, there's a small repository of patches for various VST (and other) plugins, including a number of drum kits.
I'm providing mappings of just two kits at the moment... although Geoff Khan's has a number of patches.
